Stories to Disconnect

There are many different stories we can tell ourselves to give up on the “busy culture” (if only for a moment) and bring focus back into our life.

  • Sorry, my phone ran out of battery.
  • There was no reception on the train.
  • I don’t have a smartphone.
  • The plane had no WiFi.
  • I forgot my phone at home.
  • I was at work.
  • I switched off my phone.

There is one difference among all of them: some are options we take, self-imposed restrictions, personal decisions; others are imposed to us by external conditions which are out of our control.
